Virginia Beach (Wavy) — Many who wake up early enough for a partial solar eclipse at Hampton Roads on Thursday morning may have been obstructed by clouds, but see the phenomenon. Some people were able to do it.

Especially Virginia Beach Oceanfront people could see the eclipse.

An amateur astronomer in Back Bay sent a photo from club member Lian Lagoe on the promenade on 24th Avenue.

The solar eclipse reached its maximum at around 5:45 am and ended around 6:25 am in our area.

Most of North America had only a partial solar eclipse, but in Canada, Greenland, the Arctic Ocean, and parts of Siberia, the “Ring of Fire” was found. Solar eclipse..
