Pay it 4ward: Woman recognized for helping students with disabilities – Albuquerque, New Mexico

Albuquerque, New Mexico 2021-06-08 00:38:18 –

Thirteen students in the program graduated in May. They were the first graduation class in the program.

During the pandemic, it wasn’t easy. They were virtual for a period of time.

Lowe says that with hard work and devoted effort, Mordecki succeeded and wanted to pay in four words.

Rowe surprised Mordeck for $ 400.

“That doesn’t work for me,” Mordeck said. “I taught life skills classes in high school for six years, but many have graduated and some can stay in high school for six years. The fact alone has been with these kids for a very long time, and they go home and sit home to graduate. ”

With Mordecki’s hard work and student dedication, the results are not visibly difficult.

“We have seven graduates who plan to continue their education, and others are working,” she said.

Mordecki hopes that the program will continue to grow and help form a clear path for more students to enroll.
