Pedestrian critically injured after southwest Las Vegas valley crash – Las Vegas, Nevada

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Pedestrians are in danger after a collision near the Southwest Valley on Thursday night.
Police said the accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. near West Flamingo Road, east of Irville Street, when a pedestrian was walking outside a crosswalk marked Flamingo Road.
A Chevrolet Malibu was driving east on Flamingo Road when a pedestrian crossed in front of the Chevrolet. A 21-year-old man was then struck and thrust forward.
The pedestrian was taken to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries and is still in critical condition.
Police said the driver of the Chevrolet showed no signs of disability.
The crash is under investigation by Metro’s crash investigation section.
