Harrisburg (KDKA) – Today, Pennsylvania’s Second Lady Zielfetterman has called on people to support two bills that will help fund the Dog Law Enforcement Authority.
Proponents say the bill will help save dogs from puppy mills, help dogs suffering from abuse, and defend dog bite victims among other support for dogs in the Commonwealth.

They have raised fees for dog registration and licenses and are using the money to seek funding from the Dog Law Enforcement Bureau, which has been around for nearly 128 years.
“We’ve been talking about this for five years and it’s getting worse every year, so last year we actually received $ 1.2 million from everyone who doesn’t have a dog. What about that?” The Democratic Party of Luzerne County Representative, Eddie Day Pashinski. “It will cost $ 1.5 million this year.”
Under the suggestion, the fee for registering a dog will be from $ 6.50 to $ 10.00.
