Sacramento (CBS13) — Another 15 Californians, including one in Sacramento County, have earned $ 50,000 in COVID-19 vaccination.
The award is part of the state’s Vax For The Win effort to get more people vaccinated.
Last week, 15 other people were selected to win a prize of $ 50,000.
Winners on Friday included three from Alameda, Fresno, Khan, Los Angeles, Monterey, Orange, Riverside, Sacramento, San Diego, San Mateo and two from Santa Clara.
The winner of the money can choose to remain anonymous, but the winner named Tony was nominated in a video promoting his efforts. At first he thought it was a joke.

“This year was a tough year for me and everyone else. It’s nice to have this extra money coming in,” he said.
The state has failed to win two winners since last week, so new winners from Sacramento County and Monterey County have been selected.
On June 15th, when the day comes when California will fully reopen its economy, the Grand Prize for the Vax For The Win initiative will be announced. A total of 10 fully vaccinated people will each receive $ 1.5 million.
Private companies are also stepping up their vaccine incentive programs.
Kaiser Permanente recently announced that anyone vaccinated by July 9th will participate in the Imm UNITY Sweepstakes. Prizes include trips to theme parks and national parks, wellness retreats, healthy eating delivery, fitness equipment, and gym membership.
