Sierra Nicole Murdoch faces two counts of Arson I

Portland, Oregon (KOIN) —According to Portland Fire And Rescue, a woman believed to be responsible for a series of 10 suspicious fires in East Portland is further accused of multiple arson charges. Facing

Various fires were struck on Sundays between 1:30 am and 4:15 am in the SE161th and SEAlder, SE160th and SEStark areas, and in several places near this area along E Burnside Street. The 10 fires included car fires that spread to carports. Two building fires. Additional car fires; one fire including homeless camps. Two trash can fires in an apartment building. Two trash can fires. According to PF & R, a mailbox fire.

In response to a suspicious fire, Portland police officers used a police car fire extinguisher to extinguish the two. They subsequently arrested Sierra Nicole Murdoch in the area, but were arrested on charges unrelated to arson. According to the PPB, Murdoch has since been charged with two charges of Arson I, and several more are expected as the investigation progresses.

No injuries were reported and total damage was not provided immediately.
