This Saturday, February 27, Pima Animal Care Center will hold a pet supplies distribution event at Mission Manor Elementary School (600 W. Santa Rosa St.) from 1 pm to 5 pm (or until supplies run out). I will.

Available items include collars, food, laces, bowls, treats, toys, pet stairs, and cat litter boxes. There are also some human-related items such as laundry detergent, blankets and hygiene products. Pet owners do not have to take their pets to receive supplies.

“Since the pandemic began, people have sought help from us to help them keep pets,” said Michele Figueroa, director of PACC’s Human Animal Assistance Services. “If we can use food and laces to keep our pets in a loving home, we definitely want to do that.”

This outreach is part of PACC’s Human Animal Assistance Services program, which distributed 1.3 million meals and £ 36,180 to vulnerable pet owners. The program is funded through the Friends of PACC and food is provided by local donors, Amazon and GreaterGood.
