Pima County, Arizona (KGUN) — Pima County administrator Chuck Hackelbury is involved in a conflict between the Governor’s Office and the Catalina Foothills School District.
Arizona Governor Doug Ducey sent a letter to the Catalina Foothills School District stating that if unvaccinated students were exposed to COVID-19, they would be sent to quarantine for 10 days, violating state law. I did.
Now, a written note by county manager Chuck Hackelbury, stating that such a claim is “a serious spread of imagination and endangers public health.”
In his memo, Hackelbury also stated that Pima County and the Department of Health are committed to the community and all schools. Everyone strives to maintain a safe and healthy school.
The school district said it was responding to public health advice from the Arizona health department.
