Pima County, Arizona (KGUN) — Pima County may begin the process of dismissing unvaccinated employees this week.
In November, the county resolved to require all employees working in vulnerable groups to be vaccinated.
The Supervisory Board on Tuesday will discuss the offboarding process for employees who have not been fully vaccinated by 31 December.
Of the more than 2,000 employees, 427 do not report vaccination status. Most of those employees will receive a letter within the next two weeks outlining the county’s intention to dismiss them if they miss the deadline.
The board will discuss the offboarding process further at tomorrow’s meeting.
