Pizza company president gives car to delivery driver after theft – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 2021-06-11 20:23:00 –

The staff at Texas Papa John’s Pizza recently brought a big surprise to one of the drivers. Isaac Sanchez’s car burned after a thief tried to steal the vehicle’s catalytic converter last week. The loss of his car happened at a bad time. Earlier this year, Sanchez broke his patella and became homeless when he started living in a car with a pile of hospital bills. Not only did his colleague set up a GoFundMe page that raised over $ 7,000, but the president of Papa John’s Pizza also visited a Houston store to replace Sanchez’s car with his own. “I think you need it more than I do. I want to give you my car,” company president Keith Salins told Sanchez. “All I ask is to keep the Eagles CD in it.” Sanchez couldn’t believe it. “The president of the company just came here and gave me his car,” Sanchez said. “It’s amazing. It’s really overwhelming. I’m very grateful for everything that happened.” Now Sanchez is back on the road to delivering pizza. “He’s a great employee. I want to say thank you for staying with my dad. Johns, thank you for everything you do,” Salins said.
