Miami (WFLA) — According to police, the plane was destroyed in a fiery wreck on a Miami bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The Bay Harbor Police Department said the plane crashed at the How Rover Inlet Bridge, which connects How Rover Beach and Bal Harbor.

The area was closed due to the crew responding to the scene.

Alex Huberman, who lives in Miami, recorded the aftermath from a nearby building and captured the smoke and flames rising from the aircraft. He also appeared to have damaged vehicles on the bridge.

In the video, you can also hear the voices of seeing three people flee from the crashed plane.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the plane was a single-engine Cessna that was scheduled to take off from Fort Lauderdale International Airport and fly to Keywest. The aircraft lost power on the way, and the plane and three people on board collided with the bridge around 1 pm.

NBC affiliated WTVJ Six people were reported injured, including two who were transferred to the trauma center.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will conduct an investigation, confirmed by FAA representatives.
