A Frontier Airlines plane slipped off the end of the runway at Ronald Reagan National Airport on Friday night.
A Frontier Airlines plane slipped off the end of the runway at Reagan National Airport on Friday night.
Flight 538 from Denver arrived at the airport around 10:30 pm when the incident occurred, said Mika Lillard of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. After landing, the plane stopped in the grass area at the end of Runway 1.

No injuries have been reported, Lillard said, and passengers use the stairs to get off the plane and take a bus to the terminal. Runway 1/19 is closed to air traffic while authorities are investigating the site.
The cause of the plane taking off is unknown.
