Omaha, Nebraska (KMTV) — On Monday, the Papillion La Vista Community School Board will consider some of the COVID-19 policies, especially mask requirements.
Almost two months have passed since the Board decided to impose mask requirements on all schools in the district after a significant surge in cases in the third week of the school year.
Tonight, the board will look into local cases and hear recommendations.
According to the local health department, more than 25% of new COVID cases are people under the age of 20.
For the district, there are about 30 active cases, which has increased slightly over the last few weeks, but much lower than what we saw before the mask was installed when there were more than 90 cases.
3 NewsNow reporter Jessika Eidson will do more tonight on the board and tonight at 3 News Now Live at 10.
