Pleasant View, Tennessee (WKRN) – A Newyork-based nonprofit has repaid a family mortgage in central Tennessee.

August 8NS, 2010, Marine Cpl. Christopher Daniels Greer died on duty. He was serving in Afghanistan when the IED attacked him. He left his wife and two children in Pleasant View, Tennessee.

NS Tunnel to Towers Foundation Work to help fallen veterans and first responder families by paying off their mortgages. On Thursday, the Glia family was informed that their home had been paid off.

“I am really grateful to the Foundation for giving us this gift,” Cpl said. Greer’s wife Stacy. “I still can’t believe it.”

After September 11thNS Attack, Foundation was created to honor FDNY firefighter Stephen Schiller who died trying to save others.

“We would like to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and security,” said Jeanna Dellaragione, Executive Director of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
