Plum House recreates a sinkhole scene for a Christmas exhibit


Two years have passed since the infamous sink that swallowed a Port Authority bus in downtown Pittsburgh this October. The incident inspired everything from Halloween costumes to Christmas light displays. The garden of the house along Plum’s Holiday Park Drive has a sinkhole 18 feet deep and 10 feet wide. The Plum Autonomous Region has placed an orange fence around it. “The bus fell into a sinkhole a few years ago, so why not duplicate it and have some fun,” said homeowner Joey Pierce. Pierce said he had an exhibition last Sunday night to Monday. The exhibition was also held for Halloween, with caution tapes, zombies and skulls around the holes.

“A few years ago the bus fell into a sinkhole, so why not duplicate it and have some fun,” said homeowner Joey Pierce.

Pierce said the exhibition was held from last Sunday night to Monday.

For Halloween, there was also a display with caution tapes, zombies, and skulls surrounding the holes.
