Honolulu Police arrested two people in connection with two separate robbery cases in Chinatown on Sunday.
The first alleged robbery occurred in 1100 blocks on Mauna Kea Street.
At around 3:20 pm, police said a 60-year-old woman robbed a 46-year-old woman of her cell phone. The suspect hit the suspect’s victim twice when the victim tried to stop the woman from leaving the scene with her cell phone.
The suspect ran away on foot. Shortly thereafter, police found the suspect and arrested her on two charges of robbery.
Three hours later, another robbery occurred near the intersection of Mauna Kea and North Beretania.
Police said two male suspects used physical force to steal unspecified personal property from a 47-year-old man around 6:30 pm
Just before 7:20 pm, police arrested 37 suspects without a local address for a second robbery investigation. The other suspects remain in large numbers.
Police said the victim suffered abrasions and bruises on his legs and face.
