Goodlettsville, Tennessee (WKRN) —A man was arrested on Saturday night after being tracked by police allegedly leading to an assault at a Wendy’s restaurant in Goodlettsville.

Around 7 pm, Goodlettsville police reported that the car flew at the intersection of Rivergate Parkway and Medora Crane at about 90 mph and almost collided with a police officer and two other vehicles. Authorities then tried to pull the vehicle.

According to the arrest affidavit, Joseph Fiffer, 24, who was holding the steering wheel, left the police and continued to weave between the cars before pulling him into Wendy’s parking lot.

Police said Piffar rushed towards the patrol vehicle.

Police said he seemed to obey when police officers got out of the car, pulled firearms, and ordered Pfeiffer to stop the car. Piffer raised his hand, but about 15 seconds later, he reportedly speeded up again towards the police and police car.

Officials report that Pfeiffer fled the Rivergate Parkway east towards Gallatin Pike. Police were able to get the license plate of his car. The picture helped identify Piffer, which led to his arrest.

He was charged with weighted assault on first responders, avoiding arrests and reckless driving. He was booked in Metro Prison with a $ 55,000 bond.
