Dudley, Massachusetts. (WHDH)-Massachusetts father has faced numerous criminal charges after police invaded his house and said he had stabbed a man in bed with his daughter.

Lester’s Jeffrey Sprague, 40, was arrested Thursday morning on charges of attempted murder, knife assault and assault, burglary, and night burglary, according to Dudley police.

At around 10:50 pm, police officers responded to reports of a knife-related assault at their home on Dudley Southbridge Road, where two residents, a 19-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, suffered knife injuries. I encountered him. The police said his face, neck, chest and arms.

The man was taken to Worcester’s UMass Hospital for treatment and was finally listed in a stable condition.

Initial investigation revealed that the victim was sleeping with Sprague’s daughter at the time of the incident.

According to police, Sprague entered the house without permission, stepped into the bedroom where men and women were sleeping, and stabbed the victim several times.

Sprague’s daughter was able to thwart and stop the assault.

Sprague, who escaped from the scene on foot, was found riding a bicycle on Millroad at around 8:20 am and was detained.

He will be called to the Dudley District Court at a later date.

Investigation is ongoing.
