Overland Park, Kansas (KCTV)-Overland Park Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on Monday night.

According to police, the shooting took place on the ground floor of the parking lot of the Promontry apartment at around 8:45 pm. The apartment complex is located in the area of ​​West 89th Street and Metcalf Avenue.

Police said the man was shot three times, but never in the head as originally reported. The man will survive, police say.

The detective is still looking for the suspect, but it is believed that the victim and the suspect were acquainted. Police do not believe that the public is at risk.
