Police said the robbers unknowingly knocked victims near McArthur Park • Long Beach Post News – Long Beach, California

Police responded to a call reporting a robbery at around 7 pm on Cherry Avenue 1400 block near a bakery in the MacArthur Park area, police said. Police said they had found a man with a head injury upon arrival.

Police said the two men approached the victim, hit him with a “blunt object” and knocked unknowingly. When he regained consciousness, the victim discovered that his money and cell phone had been stolen, said Lieutenant Ryan Watson of LBPD.

The Long Beach Fire Department was on the scene to treat his injury, but the victims were not taken to the hospital, police said.

Authorities said the suspects were still numerous and the investigation was underway.
