Police say Adams County deputy in patrol car hit pedestrian who walked on highway – Denver, Colorado

Adams County, Colorado — A pedestrian died early Friday after being attacked by an adjutant in a police car in Adams County.

Around 1:10 am, Commerce City police officers responded to block 11800 on Highway 85 after receiving reports of a crash involving pedestrians and adjutants at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

Police determined that a man had hit a car when he was on the freeway in front of his lieutenant, as a result of a preliminary investigation.

The adjutant in the marked police car was driving south along the 11800 block.

The pedestrian died on the scene. The adjutant was not injured.

An accident recovery team at the Commerce City Police Station is working on-site.

This investigation is ongoing. The man who died has not been identified.
