The Rainbow Inn motel in Anaheim and other nearby buildings were evacuated early Monday, January 4, after police searched for the suspect in a shooting and seriously injured a man.

The policeman who answered another phone heard the gunshot just before 6 am. Anaheim Police Sergeant. Jacob Guarantee said.

They determined that the shot came from Rainbow Inn, a motel in Beach Boulevard near Ball Road.

A man in his thirties was found shot in the foot outside the hotel, according to Galacher.

Officers provided first aid, including wearing a tourniquet, and rushed him to the hospital. He had surgery and was in crisis, Mr. Galacher said.

Police did not immediately know why the man was shot dead or who the suspect was, but believed that the criminal could be in the motel’s room.

According to police, the motel was evacuated as SWAT searched the area and some of the surrounding buildings were removed.

The part of the beach adjacent to the motel was closed due to police search.
