“This was a very serious situation,” said Euclid Chief Scott Meyer. “Now, the suspect is splitting his attention, dropping cash, trying to operate a firearm, and trying to pick up money. This is an untrained firearm and a nervous person. It’s an absolute disaster. It’s a typical recipe. I’m very happy that no one was injured. “

The video shows the suspect pointing his gun at the clerk. The clerk threw money at the suspect. The suspect can then drop the cash and see him picking it up. Then he tried to leave.

“We locked one door. He hit one door and said something like ah ****,” the clerk told the 911 caller.

The suspect then ran out of the other door and dropped cash again. He can be seen returning to the store to pick up some of the stolen cash.

“The suspect seemed to have a lot of trouble holding and holding this money,” said the chief.

Lieutenant Donna Holden of Euclid police said the suspect had finally left the store.

“The video shows him running away through the parking lot on foot, and it looks like he entered a new white SUV before he got rid of him,” Holden said.

Police say they want to find the suspect before someone gets injured.

“I’m sure the clerk wants to be arrested, so this won’t happen to anyone else,” the chief said.
