LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A boy’s half-brother, whose body was found by a hiker near Las Vegas on Friday morning, is undergoing a missing amber alert for an 11-year-old boy identified by his family.
According to police, the boy’s mother saw a sketch of the police and identified him as an eight-year-old son. He was not immediately identified by investigators during the Saturday morning update.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the boy’s half-brother, 11-year-old Eden Montes, is urged to contact the authorities immediately.
Eden is a Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes, and is described by police as being about 5 feet tall and weighing 110 pounds. The last thing he wore was an unknown color T-shirt with “Vans”, khaki trousers, and black tennis shoes with “Champion”. He also had a black Raiders hat. I was wearing.
Police said the two boys were last seen with their father on Thursday night. About 12 hours later, the body of an eight-year-old was found near the trailhead on State Highway 160, the main road connecting Las Vegas and Pahrump.
