Rosaura Bailey, Director of Community Relations at Corpus Christi Port, said the event was a special way to help families create lasting memories.

Corpus Christi, Texas — The countdown to Christmas has begun, and Corpus Christi Harbor confirms that residents are ready to ring during their holidays.

The partnership between NuStar Energy and The Home Depot has allowed the port to host an annual Christmas tree gift and distribute 300 Christmas trees to families around the coastal bend.

In addition to the wood, the family was also provided with lighting, ornaments, and a wooden stand. Rosaura Bailey is the director of Community Relations at Corpus Christi Port and said the event is one of many ways to help families create lasting memories.

“It’s one thing that you can see joy in their faces,” Bailey said. “They get to pick up trees, lights and decorations, but knowing they go home and make memories in the living room together is a whole different thing. That really makes sense. .port.”

Another tree gift will be held in Portland on Thursday, where they hope to spread more holiday memories.
