Edinburg Township, Ohio (WJW) – Portage County Helped save a resident stuck under a tree.
A sheriff’s agent was called to Edinburg Township on Thursday to help report a firefighter injured in a tree.
When they got there, the first responders found a resident fixed under a tree branch about 12 inches in diameter.
The crew used a chainsaw to cut their limbs and free the inhabitants from under the tree. They were taken to the University Hospital Portage Medical Center for several injuries, including two cracked ribs, two decompressed vertebrae, two fractures of the arm, and some scratches.
In a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office thanked the agents, firefighters, and EMS for helping out.
