Cleveland, Ohio 2021-01-14 05:00:33 –

Des Moines, Iowa (AP) — Another night, another unclaimed giant lottery jackpot.

The Powerball Jackpot on Wednesday night was worth at least $ 550 million and grew to an estimated $ 640 million without the winner heading to the next draw on Saturday.

The numbers for the Powerball draw on Wednesday night were 4-19-23-25-49 and 14 Powerballs.

The Powerball prize draw was the day after no one won the $ 625 million Mega Millions jackpot. As a result, the prize pool increased to $ 750 million prior to the next draw on Friday night.

The Mega Millions Award is currently the fifth largest award in US history.

This is the second time that both national lotteries have exceeded $ 500 million.

The prize money was huge as everyone matched all six numbers and months had passed since winning one of the jackpots. The odds of winning everything are incredibly small: 1 in 292.2 million for Powerball and 1 in 302.5 million for Mega Millions.

The jackpots listed in the lottery are for winners who choose to be paid through a pension of over 30 years. Almost all winners take less cash options.

Both Mega Millions and Powerball are played in 45 states, Washington, DC, and the US Virgin Islands. Powerballs are also available in Puerto Rico.
