Frisco, Texas- Head coach Mike McCarthy said he didn’t expect Randy Gregory to practice on Thursday after the Cowboys defensive end sat down sick on Wednesday.
McCarthy said Gregory’s illness had nothing to do with COVID-19.
Gregory has been pushing Pass Rush since returning to game action from the NFL’s pause in late October. He has seven tackles (one loser) and three quarterback pressures in three games this season.
Guard Zack Martin (calf) had limited participation in Wednesday’s practice, but McCarthy pointed out that the problem was not serious.
“He’s fine,” McCarthy said. “As you can imagine, we were cautious and restrained him. He does some work today. He’s just smart.”
Defensive end Demarcus Lawrence was reportedly not practicing during the part published in the media on Thursday. Lawrence practiced on Wednesday and there were no reports of injuries.
The Cowboys (2-7) started in Minnesota on Sunday and are about to start three games in 13 days. They will play Washington at home next Thursday at Thanksgiving and play in Baltimore a week later on December 3rd.
