New Orleans-Preservation Hall will open the door to the live show on June 10th. This is just the 60th anniversary of the iconic jazz venue.
“We are delighted that the respected musicians of the land, air, blood and heartbeat of this magical city will bring a delightful tradition to Preservation Hall after the longest silence in 60 years of history.” Preservation Hall Creative said, directed by Ben Jaffe in a press release.
The French Quarter venue has been closed for 15 months due to COVID-19 restrictions. Now, the 60 musicians who make up the Preservation Hall Collective are returning to the stage with a multi-generational band lineup.
“It’s time to get back to playing and enjoying our music. There’s no better place to do that than the Preservation Hall,” said trumpet player and bandleader Wendell Brunious. “Now let’s start the party again. We won it.”
At the venue, we ask customers and staff to wear masks and measure the temperature. If you need a mask, we will give you a mask. Horn players also use bell covers for added safety.
Showtime is Thursday to Sunday night, 5 pm, 6:15 pm, 7:30 pm. Tickets must be purchased with a credit card.
Ticket reservations are currently being accepted Preservation Hall.com..
