Washington (NewsNation Now) —A week before the end of his term, and hours after the US House of Representatives made the second impeachment, President Donald Trump issued a video statement from the Oval Office on Wednesday night.
President Trump did not mention impeachment, but said he had explicitly condemned the violence seen at the US Capitol last week and submitted an impeachment clause.
“If you do any of these things, you don’t support our movement,” Trump said.
He asks everyone who supports his agenda to find a way to relieve tension.
Mr. Trump also said he had instructed federal agencies to use all the resources needed to maintain order during the presidential election transition to Joe Biden’s administration.
The video was posted on the White House’s official Twitter account. Trump’s account was permanently suspended on the platform last week.
