“Did you regret it someday?” Asked Stephanie Sierra of ABC7.
“No … it was fun,” Deschamps said. “I’ll do it again.”
A college student scaled a 1,070-foot building while regularly stopping using his phone to post videos on social media. He told ABC7 that he plans to climb for a month to evaluate the building using Google Maps.
Des Champs arrived at SFO from Las Vegas early Tuesday morning and is currently a senior at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As soon as he entered, he said he went straight to Salesforce with Uber and started climbing around 9am.
“Are you scared?” Sierra asked.
“No … I cut my leg, that is, I took my leg off the wall, hung one hand with one hand, and showed off a little,” Des Champs said before laughing. “I wanted to post some videos so they would go out while I was in jail.”
Anti-abortion activists say they climbed the mountain in hopes of raising $ 1 million to “save lives” in support of anti-abortion charities. It is unknown how much money was raised.
“These doctors literally kill these babies on the table and leave them behind to die,” Des Champ said. “We are not trying to yell at women who want to have an abortion. We don’t want to blame them … we just want to let them know that we have other options.”

DesChamps told ABC7 that the only problem was that he was thirsty and tired towards the end of the climb.
According to his website, Des Champ’s other goal is to put Dr. Cesare Santangelo, a Washington, DC-based obstetrician and gynecologist, in jail for an abortion.
“I have no regrets,” he said. “Sending a message.”
Last year, Des Champs climbed the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas to protest COVID limit. He was also arrested at that time, but the charges were withdrawn, he says.
The San Francisco Police Department arrested Dechamp for two misdemeanors. One was trespassing and the other was resistance to police investigations and did not obey police orders. He was quoted and released on Tuesday afternoon.
