Nashville, Tennessee — A nonprofit organization in Nashville offers a nine-week program for teens focused on getting their lives back on track and away from potentially jailed lifestyles. I am hosting it.
On Saturday, October 16th, the non-profit organization Be About Change offers a special opportunity to hear from a juvenile judge.
It’s happening at 10am at the East Park Community Center
Project LEAD, an eight-week program, offers valuable life lessons for children aged 12-19 in the community.
As part of the Project LEAD Youth Leadership series, Saturday’s free event will feature a conversation between Metropolitan Nashville and Judge Sheila Callaway of the Davidson County Juvenile Court.
Judge Callaway gives an overview of the juvenile justice system (including current trends), with an emphasis on how young people can engage in the community and prevent them from being detained.
