US News & World Report lists the best electric and hybrid vehicles of 2024
In U.S. News & World Report's ranking of the best electric and hybrid cars in 2024, cars from Hyundai and Volvo took five of the top 10 spots, but Tesla was squeezed out.
Publication testers rated it mostly 100 EVs and hybrids, scoring based on price, mileage, performance, and other factors. John Vincent, senior vehicle testing editor, said the best EVs combine power, speed and fast charging capabilities.
“Today, there are electric vehicles in almost every segment of the market,” he told CBS MoneyWatch. “Electric cars are our future. Electric cars are coming sooner than some people think and they actually solve a lot of problems.”
