“The financial costs of a pandemic to the St. Louis County Government are almost overwhelming,” county executive Sam Page wrote to the county council. “The pandemic caused the county government to lose more than $ 85.9 million in revenue in 2020.

According to a document of more than 300 pages, the recommended operating budget for 2022 is $ 693.7 million, an increase of $ 29.5 million from 2021.
