Lexington, Kentucky (LEX 18) —The 11th year of the annual Pumpkin Mania Sculpture Event at the University of Transylvania.

This year, 500 tickets were sold for pumpkin sculptors to tackle nearly 600 gourds waiting to turn into Jack-o-Lanterns.

On Monday, the eerie piece shines in their eyes.

“It’s not the same as in the last few years. We haven’t had a major trick or treat event, but this is now a great way to regain the 11-year tradition and regain those pumpkins. One step back. ” Trancy’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Migen Moloney, said. “This is one way Transylvania gives back to our community. We have a great partner to help with this.”

Cleeve’s Family Market in Bonnieville offered all the pumpkins. Pumpkins will be lit up on the Old Morrison stairs this week, making it available for everyone to check out.
