London — Buckingham Palace says Queen Elizabeth II reluctantly accepted medical advice to rest for a few days.

The palace did not provide details on Wednesday’s decision, but the Queen said she was “well and disappointed that she would not be able to visit Northern Ireland, where she was planning to make a series of promises today and tomorrow.”

The palace added, “I have sent her warmest and good wishes to the people of Northern Ireland and look forward to visiting them in the future.”
