East Long Beach’s 2nd & PCH Shopping Center has added a number of new retailers, restaurants and service providers to its list of tenants. Restaurant chain Tokaya Organaika, Japanese franchise Jinya Ramen, and clothing store Brixton have joined the market.
John Nahas, President of Southern California at CenterCal Properties, said: “This really helps us round the mix.”
In addition to the new eateries and retail stores not yet coming, two new tenants have already moved in and opened the doors.
Providing a diverse range of tenants, including service providers, is key to achieving CenterCal’s goals for the facility, Nahas said. “Our property looks like a retail property, but we’re trying to create a place for the community.”
The center, which opened in November 2019, is doing pretty well during the pandemic, mainly due to the abundance of outdoor space, according to Nahas. “We can use the outdoor area for the benefit of our tenants. I was able to do it, “he said. “I’m really happy with the center’s performance, despite the challenges that everyone has experienced.”
