Cold front corridors welcome cooler air today, but the low levels of humidity behind the front increase throughout the morning, with uphill flows from the southeast developing as the morning progresses.

A storm can occur at the western end of this humidity. This fuel powers the storm during the day. The first few cells are in the Pikes Peak region between noon and 1:30 pm, with possible storms further south beyond the eastern mountains and hills between 2 pm and 4 pm there is.

The strongest individual cells will be the cells that monitor the possibility of bad weather at an early stage. These storms can produce hail up to 1.5 inches in diameter in the mountains and the Pikes Peak region south of I-25.

In the evening when the storm moves east, the storm begins to gather in the dashed line, reducing the hail threat somewhat, but increasing the threat of damaging the gust.
