Riverside, California 2021-10-26 07:30:13 –

Mixing the scent of Cajun-style cuisine with the sound of creole-based Zydeco music, customers at Razzoo’s Cajun Cafe were taken to the city of New Orleans.

The new restaurant on the corner of South Padre Island Drive and South Staples Street near La Palmela Mall opened its dinner service door on Monday.

The 5,800-square-foot building, including an 880-square-foot patio for outdoor dining, is the 20th largest location in Texas.

Full business hours begin in November.

Grilled crocodiles are Cajun's favorite at Razzoo's Cajun Café. Served on top of jambalaya rice with barbecue sauce, vegetables and garlic bread.

Jeff Powell, CEO of Razzoo, said the company wants to serve customers throughout the state.

“Our fans asked, and we listened,” Powell said. “It’s exciting to expand further in Texas. We look forward to adding new people to Razzoo’s family and serving the community.”

Business hours are Sunday to Thursday from 3 pm to 9 pm and Friday and Saturday from 3 pm to 10 pm.

Razzoo's Cajun Café will be fully open in November.

Delivery and takeaway options will be available within a few weeks.
