Boston (WHDH)-For thousands of racers, the 125th Boston Marathon may be 18 months late, but it’s still a great race they’re excited to run.
The marathon was canceled in 2020 and postponed earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but 20,000 runners are scheduled to travel from Hopkinton to Boston this Monday. Many visited Boylston Street’s finish line on Saturday to receive a bib at the Hynes Convention Center before the race and immerse themselves in the atmosphere.
“It’s beautiful, I love it. Dreams come true!” Said runner Adriana Pantaleo.
“This is just a race of honor and patriotism, and I can’t really explain what it means to be here with my friends,” said runner Tamara Fecker. “It’s great, it’s beautiful.”
