Greenville County, South Carolina (WSPSA) – The Red Cross is helping more than 12 people after an early morning apartment fire in Greenville County, South Carolina.

According to the American Red Cross, the incident took place on Sunday morning at the Roper Mountain Woods apartment on Roper Mountain Road. Volunteers are helping about 20 people after the fire has damaged at least 12 units, officials said.

“Our team is working with affected families and we are thinking about them all and want to provide support,” said Lisa Colby, Executive Director of the Upstate Chapter. Says. “This is another sad thing that reminds us that fires can occur anytime, anywhere, and we always need to be prepared for such disasters.”

The Boiling Springs Fire Department responded to the scene.

At this time, nothing has been announced about the cause of the fire and no injuries have been reported. We’ll update this story for more details.
