8 News Now talked to some people on the “Welcome To Las Vegas” sign and asked how they were celebrating.
“We were going to bring a family from Arizona, but because of COVID they aren’t coming out, so we’re just two and we’re going to keep it small,” said Ryan Cunningham. ..
“I’m going to do what everyone does on vacation just by staying at home,” said Andre Hartado.
“Well, my mother died recently. She died of pneumonia / COVID about three months ago,” said Teresa Scherke. “So it’s just me, my brother, and my dad.”
