Red Paint Coming to County Streets for Bus Only Lanes – Arlington, Texas

Arlington, Texas 2021-05-10 11:30:37 –

If you see fresh red paint on the sidewalks of Arlington, it’s a lane designated exclusively for buses.

Last week at the courthouse I was able to see the county crew drawing new lane markers.

The new “Bus Only Priority Lanes and Stops” “is aimed at helping improve transportation safety, service and reliability,” said Kathryn O’Brien, spokeswoman for the Arlington Environmental Services Department. I’m talking to.

According to O’Brien, seven red-painted areas of the road are planned throughout the county.

  • 27th Street South and Potomac Avenue in Crystal City
  • 33rd Street S in Crystal City. And Crystal Drive
    S. Hayes Street and 12th Street South in Pentagon City
  • Crystal Drive in Crystal City and 26th Street South
  • 15th Street N in the courthouse. And N.Uhle Street
  • Clarendon Boulevard and N. Yule Street in the Courthouse
  • Wilson Boulevard and N. Yule Street in the Courthouse

“They should all be completed within next week,” O’Brien said of his painting efforts.
