Henderson, NC (WSPA) – The Sheriff’s Office in Henderson County said he was warned after Congressman Madison Corthorn brought a knife to the school board.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Henderson County Board of Education on September 13 was informed of a photo and allegations that Congressman Corthorn was in possession of a knife.
The sheriff’s office said that if a person inadvertently possesses a knife in an educational facility, it is not uncommon for an agent to give a verbal warning and remove the knife or person from the premises.
Parliamentarians said Corthorn is now aware that the school system’s administration office is considered an educational property and that weapons are not permitted.
