Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach police reduced crime in 2020, according to an annual review.

In the sector, homicides increased, 6 cases compared to 4 cases in 2019, but crimes decreased by 19%.

Among the crimes that showed a decline were rape (5%), robbery (11%), robbery (16%) and theft (23%).

Crimes that showed an increase included murder (50%), worsening assault (7%), and car theft (6%).

According to the report, trafficking and arson rates remained the same.
