Sacramento (CBS13) – Sacramento’s Upper Land Park area was full of bullets on Sunday night. No one was injured, but neighbors are wondering when the violence will stop.
The sound of a fire in the neighborhood was captured in a surveillance video.
I showed the video to resident Keysha Davis.
“It sounds like a semi-automatic weapon. Yes, my kids live here,” she said.
The barrage of bullets fired on Sunday night was amazing, but not surprising to Davis.
“I’m not going to lie, it’s normal. We’re literally used to it and continue the day as if nothing had happened,” she said.
The Sacramento police station recorded the incident in their daily activity log in just a few short sentences to summarize the incident.
Crime scene investigators visited the neighborhood for evidence and witnesses. Sgt. Sabrina Briggs told CBS13.
“We want our community to know that investigations of this nature are still a top priority for our department and that detectives are following up on this case,” she said.

“Both my daughter and son are college students. They have the right to own a safe, low-income, affordable home,” Davis said.
It’s a battle Davis has endured for years.
“I used the chair of the Resident Advisory Board as chair to raise these issues. When will I get up and change this?” She said.
Security guards from the Sacramento Housing Redevelopment Agency patrol these streets seven days a week, but that’s not enough for family members in the neighborhood.
“Oh awesome. I just keep my kids home — for my protection and their protection,” said the resident.
There were no injuries reported on Sunday night as a result of the incident.
Sacramento police say they will continue to investigate the case and patrol the area.
