Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN) —The American Red Cross is helping residents of 56 different units after three South Nashville apartment fires within a few days.

On Wednesday, seven firefighters and three residents were taken to the hospital after the fire.e Foxcroft Apartments..And on Saturday, residents from 21 units British Woods Apartments I evacuated near the airport.Another fire broke out early Sunday morning Arbor’s Brentwood Place..

Red Cross volunteers work 72 hours and 24 hours to help the inhabitants who have lost everything.

“Your memories, all heirloom, whatever is precious to you, it’s gone, so it’s very miserable,” said volunteer Debra Alexander Fisher.

Despite the tragedy, the Red Cross has seen resilience from the inhabitants. Alexander recalls a 9-year-old boy recently interviewed by Foxcroft Apartments.

“What did I think of him about the fire? And with our wonderful translators, most of these residents spoke Spanish, so he lost everything, I am very grateful and grateful that his family and friends were safe, “said Alexander Fisher.

The Red Cross says it can’t keep up with these needs alone and is seeking help from others. They don’t need food or clothing, but anyone who can provide their time and financial donations wants to step up.

“When they see the Red Cross somewhere, they know one, it gives them a little hope that someone who cares for them is there, and they go for it to get help. I know it’s a place where you can do it, “said Alexander Fisher.
