Las Vegas (KTNV) — South Nevadans across the valley, feeling the spillover effect of inflation and struggling to pay invoices, are in the “missing middle”. United Way in Southern Nevada And KTNV wants to remind the Nevadans that it’s okay to ask for help and that they are here to provide free resources to support.
UWSN’s network has more than 75 non-profit community partners, providing resources to achieve their goals. See the list below.
Food assistance
Catholic charity in southern Nevada
- Catholic charities in southern Nevada provide food and nutrition to individuals and families in need. We offer a variety of services such as home delivery under the Meals on Wheel Program, daily meals at the on-site dining facility, and food pantry.
- East Valley Family Services provides rent, utilities and emergency food assistance through the Able & Stable and Emergency Food and Shelter Programs.
- The Helping Hands of Vegas Valley provides food assistance through emergency food and shelter programs.
- HELP in Southern Nevada provides food assistance through emergency food and shelter programs.
Lutheran Social Welfare in Nevada
- Through DigiMart Food Pantry, Lutheran Social Services, Nevada, provides healthy, nutritious foods twice a week with socially rations.
- All programs and services offered by Project 150 are provided free of charge to high school students in the Clark County School District who have a valid student ID. Services and programs offered include ready-made food, family dining bags, clothing, accessories, school supplies, hygiene products, life skills, and workforce preparation workshops.
- The Just One Project provides food assistance through emergency food and shelter programs.

- The United Labor Agency of Nevada provides rent, mortgages, and food aid through emergency food and shelter programs.

Boulder City emergency assistance
- Boulder City Emergency Assistance provides rent and mortgage assistance through emergency food and shelter programs. Proof of necessity is required.
- HopeLink provides rent and mortgage assistance through emergency food and shelter programs. Proof of necessity is required.
- The Jewish Family Services Agency provides rent, mortgage, and utility bill support through emergency food and shelter programs. Proof of necessity is required.
- The Kline Veteran’s Fund provides rent, mortgage, and utility bill support through emergency food and shelter programs. You don’t have to be a veteran to access rent or mortgage support. Proof of necessity is required.
- Olive Crest provides rent, mortgage, and utility bill support through emergency food and shelter programs. Proof of necessity is required.
- Puentes provides rent and mortgage support through the Emergency Food and Shelter Program. Proof of necessity is required.
- RISE Homes provides rent and mortgage support through the Emergency Food and Shelter Program. Proof of necessity is required.

Foundation for an independent tomorrow (Labor development training; no income proof required)
- Through the Pathway Back to Employment program, the Foundation for a Independent Tomorrow provides workforce development services to help pandemic-affected workers find self-sufficient and sustainable employment.
- Tech Impact focuses on technology careers by providing education, technical training, and employment opportunities for adults over the age of 18 through the ITWorks and CXWorks programs.
- The mission of children’s cabinets is to keep children and their families together. They provide free programs and services to young people and their families.
