Los Angeles (CBS46)-For the second year in a row, the Atlanta Braves have won one World Series trip.
The Braves angered the Dodgers one night after hitting a three-run lead in the eighth inning, beating Los Angeles 9-2.
The Braves charge was led by left fielder Eddie Rosario, who recorded his second four-hit game in the series, which included two home runs and four RBIs. Rosario’s three-run homer in the top of the ninth inning iced the Braves bat cake, hitting a total of 12 hits at night.
The Braves also got two hits from All-Star Freddie Freeman and Travis d’Arnaud. Freeman went 5-8 in two LA games, following a 0-8 stretch that included seven strikeouts in two Atlanta games.
Wednesday night, the Braves used a total of six pitchers to win the commission. Drew Smyly threw 3.1 innings and gave up only two runs that night.
The Braves lost 10 games in a row at Dodger Stadium, but the Dodgers won 18 out of 19 games at home dating back to August.
This is a familiar position for the Braves, who led the Dodgers 3-1 in the NLCS last season, but they want another result. The Dodgers won the 2020 NLCS for the third time in a row before winning the World Series.
The Braves’ victory on Thursday night marks the team’s first trip to the Fall Classic since 1999.
Game 5 is scheduled for Thursday night in Los Angeles. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 8:08 pm from Dodger Stadium. The Braves Max Fried is expected to get off to a good start.
