San Juan, Puerto Rico (AP) —Ricky Martin denies allegations that led to a detention order against him.
Police said the judge had ordered Martin on Saturday, but authorities trying to provide the order could not find a superstar.
This order was submitted under Puerto Rico’s Domestic Violence Act. Police spokesman Axel Valencia said no further details could be provided, such as who requested the order.
Martin said in a tweet on Sunday that the order was based on a “totally false” claim and faced a process “responsibly to characterize me.”
Martin, who is married to Jwan Yosef, has not been charged with a crime.
